On 13 May the group of experts from the World Bank Group arrived to Minsk with the purpose of implementing the Program of the private sector support in the Republic of Belarus financed from the EU Trust Fund.
During this visit the World Bank experts have planned a number of business meetings with representatives of public administration, financial associations and organizations, representatives of public and private sector.
On 15 May the World Bank delegation consisting of Ms. Hania Kronfol (private sector specialist), Ms. Lina Sawaqed (investment promotion consultant), Mr. Dmitry Kolkin (consultant) visited the administration of FEZ Minsk.
During the negotiations with the Сhairman of the FEZ Minsk administration Dmitry Rudchenko the parties discussed the activities of the administration in the area of investment promotion, collaboration with FEZ Minsk resident companies, investment attractiveness and features of FEZ Minsk functioning, as an instrument of economic policy of the state to attract FDI, and investment legislation peculiarities.
Representatives of the World Bank also visited some resident companies implementing investment projects in the territory of free economic zone "Minsk": "ADANI technologies" (manufacturer of medical x-ray diagnostic equipment), "SNA Europe Industries Bisov" (manufacturer of bimetal band and circular saws), "STADLER Minsk" (manufacturer of rail transport), met with the top management of the companies and got acquainted with the production capacity and manufactured goods.
