"UNISON" SIGNED THE AGREEMENT WITH CHINESE "ZOTYE" COMPANY FOR 560 MLN DOLLARS

The company "Unison", controlled by Alexei Vaganov and the authorities of Belarus, and the Chinese company Zotye International Automobile Trading signed an agreement for a total amount of 560 million dollars

According to the document, assembly production of 30 thousand electric cars of ZOTYE brand will be organized in Belarus. Production will have a high degree of localization for the supply of machinery to the markets of the CIS countries. The project will operate for 4 years, it is planned to implement it until 2022.

The representative of Alexey Vaganov confirmed this information. She could not clarify the sources of funding, citing confidentiality.
The source of TUT.BY in the automotive industry said that the project expects to receive state support in the framework of the program of electric transport development in Belarus.

In February, a presentation of two Zotye electric vehicles was held in Minsk. They are planned to be manufactured by the method of large-head assembly at the Unison plant in Obchak in the Minsk region.

Later it became known that Alexei Vaganov was going to adjust the assembly of components, assemblies, units and software to electric cars in the Ryazan region by 2021.

Today in Qingdao, another company associated with Alexei Vaganov, Lada OMC, signed an agreement with China Sinopharm International on cooperation in the field of medical equipment. The total cost of projects is estimated at $ 94 million.
