The Russian side was represented at the opening by representatives of the regions with which Minsk has already established strong business and friendly relations. These are the deputy chairmen of the Moscow and Leningrad, Arkhangelsk and Omsk regions, as well as a representative of Ingushetia.
The export achievements of the Minsk Region are displayed at the exhibition stands dedicated to the industrial potential of the region. The structure of the region's exports to the Russian Federation includes about a thousand commodity items, including enterprises-residents of the free economic zone: SZAO "BELGEE" (mechanical engineering), GC "Alutech" (metal products).
The regions of the Russian Federation are the main foreign partners of the Minsk Region. Cooperation is carried out within the framework of agreements on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation with 37 subjects of Russia, as well as with 107 district municipalities. In 2023, the Russian Federation accounted for 54.9% of the total trade turnover of the Minsk region, including 64.1% of exports and 40.7% of imports.
For FEZ Minsk enterprises , the Russian Federation remains a priority with a share of 85% of the total export of goods by residents. Deliveries in this direction last year increased by 1.5 times compared to 2022, and in the first quarter of 2024 they increased by 1.2 times.
