The first production of Stadler Minsk for the Minsk metro will be received in the III-IV quarter of 2018, the deputy director for operation of the Minsk Metro, Andrei Mikhailovsky, told journalists, BelTA.
Composition of the four cars (two head and two intermediate) will first be operated on the second line of the Moscow subway, then on the third line. "It will be a modern train with the possibility of passing along all the wagons, it will be adapted for all categories of citizens, equipped with anti-vandal seats, convenient handrails, an auto-driving system that will ensure the accuracy of the stop." I think in 2018 passengers will be able to assess the quality of new cars, " Andrei Mikhailovsky.
He stressed that before taking Minsk citizens and guests, the staff will pass an independent certification, which will guarantee the safety of passenger traffic. Then will pass its tests on factory ways and in electrodepot "Mogilev".
As previously reported, Stadler Minsk won a tender for the supply of 10 trains for the Moscow subway. New trains will run on the third subway line.
The third line of the Minsk Metro will have a length of 17.2 km and total 14 stations. It will connect the southern and northern residential areas of the city with the center. Currently, the capital is working on the construction of the first four stations of the line (Kovalska Sloboda, Vokzalnaya, Jubilee Square, Bogushevich Square). They will use platform fences.
