The first batch of cars was assembled by Belarusian and Chinese qualified specialists, who passed on their knowledge and skills to local workers. In the future, the company plans to launch the production of a number of other VGV Sinotruk models, including an all-wheel drive pickup truck, and plans to produce electric cars.
The ceremonial launch was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry of Belarus, the administration of FEZ Minsk, JV ZAO Unison, and the Chinese concern for light vehicles China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co. Ltd (Sinotruk).
Aleksey Vaganov, a representative of the shareholders of JV ZAO Unison, said that the project was launched a year ago. "Sinotruk VGV is the second largest manufacturer in China. They work in the field of heavy engineering, they already have successful projects in Belarus, for example, "Weichai".
