A new Ambassador of Germany to Belarus Manfred Hutterer came to Minsk. On 23 July he had the meeting with Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and presented the copy of his credentials.
As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs, the Minister congratulated Manfred Hutterer on his appointment and expressed the hope for further strengthening of bilateral dialog at all levels. He also assured of the support of Belarus in mutually beneficial initiatives in different spheres.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of Belarusian-German relations including investment, trade and economic spheres, cooperation between Belarus and EU, issues of the regional agenda.
The new Ambassador is a career diplomat who has chaired for long the 205th department of German Foreign Ministry for relations with Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, CIS countries as well as relations of EU with Eastern Europe countries.
