As part of the agreement, the parties agreed to provide assistance to companies planning or implementing investment projects in the Minsk Region and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
"I am convinced that the signing of the agreement between the Free Economic Zone "Minsk" and the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation will be an important step in strengthening bilateral regional cooperation aimed at developing cooperative ties between regional enterprises and implementing joint initiatives, which, in turn, will contribute to the further growth of our economies," emphasized Anatoli Kalinin.
The Development Corporation and the FEZ "Minsk" also intend to hold joint events aimed at familiarizing potential investors with business opportunities in both countries.
"The Development Corporation is actively pursuing cooperation with our international colleagues; we previously signed a cooperation agreement with the FEZ Vitebsk. I am confident that this collaboration will enhance the investment attractiveness of our regions and open up new opportunities for Nizhny Novgorod and Belarusian entrepreneurs, facilitating cross-border industrial cooperation," said Anton Garanin.
The 3rd International Forum of Special Economic Zones brought together representatives of SEZs, FEZs, legislative and executive authorities, and experts. Participants discussed the development prospects of special and free economic zones, scaling up best management practices, the cluster approach, and new legislative initiatives.
The forum also featured exhibitions of Russian SEZs, and panel sessions were held on legal regulation, management, sustainable development, and the role of SEZs in the formation of industrial corridors.
