Today there are 113 residents registered in Free economic zone Minsk. These are well-known companies and companies that have just started to launch their production.
In the territory of FEZ Minsk large investment projects are now being implemented, such as production of motor cars and small capacity vehicles, roller shutter systems, sectional doors, x-ray equipment, bimetal and hole saws, electric trains and trams.
Main industries are machine building and metalworking, automobile industry, woodworking, electronics, polygraphy and packing industry.
The biggest companies-residents are the Group of companies “ALUTECH”, “ADANI”, “STADLER MINSK”, “BELGEE”, “GROMIN”, “SNA EUROPE INDUSTRIES BISOV”, “ZORKA”, etc.
In 2018 14 new residents were registered. Their investment projects envisage production of automobile parts, industrial products and equipment, metalworking parts. The volume of investments declared is more than 40 million USD; the number of new workplaces is 350.
In particular, the Finnish-German enterprise “SEW Eurodrive” plans to launch the production of gear units and linear motors. The Belarusian-Chinese joint ventures “Borisov plant of heat exchange systems production YASIN BATE” and “Borisov Automobile Components Plant “HONLEY” implement in the FEZ Minsk territory import-substituting investment projects on production of automobile components. The other investment project on construction of a plant for aircraft repair in the territory of the National airport Minsk implies investment in an amount of around 12 million USD.
In 2018 the industrial production volume increased by 123% in comparison to 2017. Foreign direct investment on a net basis amounted to 46 million USD. Export of goods by FEZ companies amounted to 1,114 billion USD. Foreign trade balance turned positive and grew to 229 million USD.
FEZ Minsk territory.
Despite the fact that the main part of the FEZ Minsk territory is involved in investment activity there are some free plots of land for construction of new plants and free production premises with ready-made infrastructure for purchase or rent.
Currently the territory of Minsk free economic zone makes 2791,45 ha and comprises 23 plots of land. All sites are situated in Minsk (1110, 06 ha) and Minsk Oblast (1681,39 ha): within the borders of the cities of Molodechno, Fanipol, Stolbtsy, Zhodino and Borisov, close to major highways and railways as well as the Minsk International Airport, that gives companies easy and convenient access to global trade flows and growing markets of EU, CIS and other countries.
Further development of infrastructure.
With the purpose of creation of favorable conditions for investment projects implementation in the FEZ Minsk territory one of the main goals of FEZ Minsk Administration activity is the development of infrastructure.
According to the Development plan for 2019-2020 it is envisaged to design electricity supply stations with a voltage of 110/10 kW and other related objects of engineering and transport infrastructure in order to provide FEZ Minsk territory (Fanipol, industrial zone Shabany, the FEZ territory near village Privolny) with electricity power. It is also planned to build a high-pressure gas pipeline to provide gas supply to the Site №10 in Fanipol.
Construction of electricity supply stations will bring more than 200 million USD of investments into highly efficient and export-oriented productions in the FEZ Minsk territory and will contribute to the creation of more than 500 new workplaces.
Besides, the Plan provides for building of new roads, objects of engineering and transport infrastructure, sewage pumping stations and sewage treatment facilities.
