Belarus will participate in the World Investment Forum of the UN Conference on Trade and Development, which will be held October 22-26 in Geneva, the National Investment and Privatization Agency reported.
It is expected that this year at the World Investment Forum will bring together more than 5 thousand participants. The interested parties will consider initiatives aimed at finding solutions and creating global partnerships oriented towards mutual prosperity.
During the forum, about 50 events will be organized, including the grand opening, the Global Leaders Summit, the Global Investment Games Summit, round tables with ministers, conferences, TED presentations, B2B meetings, awards ceremonies, and an exhibition of Country Investment Village booths.
The delegation of Belarus headed by the Deputy Minister of Economy Pavel Utyupin will include representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the National Agency for Investments and Privatization, the FEZ Minsk, the SZAO Company for the Development of the Great Stone Industrial Park, the Grodnoinvest FEZ and the permanent representative office Belarus in Geneva.
October 23, the official opening of the exhibition of country stands Investment Village, where the stand of Belarus will be presented. The event will be held with the participation of high-level UN officials and partner countries.
On the same day, at the session "Talking Business: Eastern Europe and Central Asia" Pavel Utyupin will present prospects for improving the investment climate in Belarus. October 26, the forum participants will talk about the benefits and features of work in the industrial park "Great Stone".
