MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – Belarusian passenger car manufacturer BelGee - FEZ "Minsk" resident company - exported over $100 million worth of cars in January-September 2019, Belarus' First Deputy Industry Minister, BelGee Acting Director General Gennady Svidersky told journalists on 1 November, BelTA has learned.
Gennady Svidersky said that BelGee export to Russia exceeded $100 million in January-September 2019. The company has been working to access other markets. “We have held talks with Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine,” he noted.
“We have made some steps ahead of the launch of supplies. We have set up maintenance networks, selected dealers, and built showrooms. This work is almost finished. I believe that in 2020 we will branch out into new markets,”Gennady Svidersky said.
Speaking about the financial and economic performance, Gennady Svidersky noted that the company operated in the black in January-September 2019. “The company posted net profit, profits from sales. The average salary in the company stands at over Br1,100,” he added.
In 2019, the enterprise has already produced more than 22,000 cars. The output per shift is 100 cars. “Although the enterprise operates a one-shift schedule, it has almost reached its design capacity,” Gennady Svidersky pointed out.
BelGee was officially inaugurated on 17 November 2017. The factory is located between Borisov and Zhodino, in the territory of FEZ "Minsk", covering an area of 118 hectares. BelGee cars have been certified in accordance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union and tested according to the Euro NCAP method (frontal tests, side impact, etc.).
