Belarus is expanding the boundaries of free economic zones and opportunities for their infrastructure development. The relevant decree №346 was signed by the Head of the state Alexander Lukashenko.
The decree provides for the expansion of the territories of free economic zones Mogilev, Vitebsk, Minsk and Grodnoinvest by including prospective land plots. Optimization of the territory of FEZ Grodnoinvest will be carried out by excluding one plot of land due to the change of its purpose use and excluding areas that are not in great demand among investors.
To create infrastructure in FEZ additional sources of funding not prohibited by law can be used now that will allow to use credit funds for this purpose. The decree gives to other organizations besides FEZ administrations the possibility to act as customers for design and construction of infrastructure facilities within the boundaries of FEZs. These measures create conditions for crediting of infrastructure construction in FEZ territories in the future.
Besides, the order of sending the heads of FEZ administrations to official business trips is simplified.
