The head of the FEZ Minsk administration, Akhremchik Alexander Sergeevich, as part of the Belarusian delegation went on a business trip to Iran to participate in the 14th meeting of the Mixed Belarusian-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation.
At the meeting Belarus and Iran signed 8 agreements. This was said by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari, speaking at the closing ceremony of the event.
"During the meeting, agreements were signed in such areas as the production of cars, agricultural, mining machines, electric buses and financing of projects," he said.
Mohammad Shariatmadari also noted the need to develop a road map for bilateral cooperation in the banking sector.
Minister of Industry of Belarus Vitaly Vovk said that the agreements reached during the event will open the way for the upcoming visit of the Belarusian president to Tehran.
Inviting the Minister of Industry of Iran to visit Belarus, Vovk expressed hope that the agreements will promote interaction between the two countries.
The road map for promoting cooperation between Iran and Belarus was signed at a solemn ceremony on Tuesday between the two countries for 2018-2020.
The road map was signed to intensify mutual cooperation and deepen the relations between the ministries of industry of the two countries within the framework of the 14th meeting of the unified Belarusian-Iranian commission for economic cooperation.
They also agreed to increase trade exchange from 75 to 250 million dollars by implementing various trade and industrial projects and joint investments.
