The topic of creating an eco-industrial park on the territory of the FEZ "Minsk" was discussed at the two-day online event "Greening of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Eastern Partnership countries" on June 29-30. The Deputy Chairman of the FEZ "Minsk" administration Piotr Filipovich took part in the discussions.
"We see the main benefits from the creation of an eco-industrial park for ourselves in increasing the competitive advantage of our platform for conducting investment and entrepreneurial activities, new opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment," said Piotr.
During the event, the participants also discussed the current work on supporting the greening of SMEs, problems and opportunities for promoting eco-innovations among SMEs in their countries, business prospects for small and medium-sized enterprises, eco-industrial parks and local authorities regarding the introduction of methods and principles of the closed-cycle economy (circular economy) and other issues.
The two-day meeting, organized within the framework of the EU4Environment program, brought together officials and experts from 6 Eastern Partnership countries, as well as representatives of the private sector and the international community.
