Over the first quarter of this year, more than 4,000 small and medium-sized enterprises were registered in Minsk. This was announced by the chairman of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nikolai Rogashuk before the meeting of the Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship at the Moscow City Hall.
Nikolai Rogashuk noted that the recently adopted documents in Belarus - Decrees Nos. 7 and 8 - gave an additional impetus to the development of the private sector of the economy.
"Over 4,000 small and medium-sized enterprises were registered in Minsk in the first quarter of 2009. And the Park of High Technologies also noted the growth of residents - more than 25%, that is, entrepreneurs understand what benefits and what benefits they receive," the committee chairman said.
According to him, the share of tax revenues in the city budget from this segment is more than 40%, on the whole in the country this percentage is slightly lower.

Today, the first meeting of the Council for Enterprise Development under the Minsk City Executive Committee was held, chaired by the mayor of the capital, Andrei Shorets.
