Among the key advantages of the FEZ "Minsk" is an advantageous geographical location in the center of the country, where the concentration of the business community, key international representative offices and organizations is high. There is a developed network of roads and railways. The territory of Belarus is crossed by two trans-European transport corridors: "West-East", connecting Germany, Poland, Belarus and Russia, and "North-South" connecting Finland, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.The National Airport Minsk is the largest in terms of traffic volumes on the territory of Belarus. It is also important that there is a high concentration of qualified personnel - 32 BY3a and 33 secondary specialized educational institutions are located in the capital.
Initially, the idea of creating a free economic zone "Minsk" consisted in creating attractive conditions for investors in organizing production with the participation of Foreign Investments. The annual growth of the foreign trade turnover testifies to the recognition of the products of enterprises in the world market and the readiness of foreign partners to cooperate with the residents of the FEZ "Minsk".
For 20 years of the FEZ "Minsk", about $ 2 billion was invested in fixed assets, including 1.6 billion dollars in investments in the fixed capital over the past 10 years. The accumulated volume of foreign investment at the beginning of the year amounted to $ 500 million.
The state in every possible way stimulates the residents to create their own production facilities to supply products for export through the provided benefits and preferences. Today, enterprises export their products to 79 countries. Mostly this is Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Lithuania, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Netherlands, USA, Japan. In addition, the sales markets of China, Egypt, India, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Norway, the Netherlands, Thailand, South Africa and others are actively being developed.
Since 1998, foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 17 billion, including export of products reached 9 billion. Over the past 10 years, foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 15 billion, including exports of goods increased by 8 billion. The balance of foreign trade is consistently positive.
Now we can say with confidence that FEZ "Minsk" is a successful project of the government, Minsk mountain and regional executive committee, resident enterprises and their leaders. In the FEZ "Minsk" already registered 114 enterprises-residents, of which 5 - this year and two are at the registration stage.
Using the special legal regime and not intruding into the sphere of economic activity of organizations, the administration of the FEZ "Minsk" nevertheless most actively helps enterprises organize the business, increase production volumes, create favorable conditions for attracting investments, and new jobs.

According to forecasts, in 2018 about 1.5 thousand new jobs will be created, exports will amount to 1 billion 250 million dollars. It is planned to attract foreign investments for at least $ 250 million, including direct on a net basis - at least 35 million. The average monthly salary for resident enterprises should remain at the level of 1100 rubles.
In the near future, the FEZ "Minsk" intends to develop the territories already in use - through the rehabilitation of the developed territories, modernization and reconstruction of existing production facilities using existing buildings and structures through selective placement of individual investment projects. Produced reconstruction, as well as the construction of significant residents As part of the design of industrial facilities are unique growth points and provide an impetus for development and improvement of existing enterprises located on the territory of the FEZ.

At present, a number of new types of products have been developed: water heaters, X-ray therapeutic devices, cars, passenger transport (electric buses). The first domestic "smart house" system was created, providing wireless control of devices of various types both directly on the site and through the Internet.
Several innovative projects are being implemented on the territory of the FEZ Minsk. NanoKomposit LLC organizes the production of polymer products using nanoparticles, which will allow us to reach a completely new level in the production of polymer materials used in various industries, and will also ensure the promotion of new materials to the world market. LLC "Micro Generators Design" assumes the organization of production of generators - electronic equipment products based on elements of surface acoustic waves. "Nero Electronics" - an investment project "Organization of development and production of electronics for industrial and domestic purposes." The company initially entered the FEZ as a science-intensive production. Currently, the company is launching a new development on the market - a smart home system designed for self-installation and customization by users, so that modern technologies become more accessible to Belarusians and consumers from neighboring countries.
Since 1998, more than 24,000 new jobs have been created, including over 16,000 over the past 10 years. Taxes are paid in the equivalent of 1.2 billion dollars (1 billion of them - over the past 10 years). The best results in 20 years achieved UE "Adani" group "Alutech" company, CJSC "BELDZHI", LLC "Gromin" JV "Midea-Horizont", LLC "Nero Electronics", CJSC "Respect", JSC "Stadler Minsk" , JV "Unison", CJSC "Katek", SZAO "ES EN Europe Industries Bisov". They have established themselves as the most successful manufacturers and exporters. The activities of these companies helps to create new jobs and attract investment to the territory of free economic zone "Minsk", which is beneficial to the economic climate and the employment of the working population not only in Minsk, but also in the Minsk region.
The territory of the FEZ "Minsk" is located on 21 sites with a total area of 2,652.5 hectares. In 2018, it is planned to increase the territory to 2791.4 hectares due to the inclusion of land in its capital, the cities of Molodechno and Zhodino.
For 10 years, 33 residents of FEZ Minsk have built and put into operation 47 facilities, including queues and launch complexes. From 2009 to 2017, 15 objects of engineering and transport infrastructure were built and put into operation. For example, a dozen streets, a facility for water supply and domestic sewage, a sewage pumping station with utility networks. The 110/10 кB Atlant substation has been reconstructed with the installation of a second transformer. A distribution point and a 10 kV power transmission line have been built. The territory of streets with the equipment of a guest parking is arranged well.
This year, the construction and renovation of its facilities engaged in 9 residents: in Minsk - UP "Antropov", LLC "Yunivak", JSC "Belryba", JSC "MAKRODOR"; In the Minsk region - Profmetall Group LLC, Belji CJSC, Unison JV, Ilya Logistic Center Prilesie, SZAO Flexoksor. Virtually all industrial territories intended for accommodation of residents of the FEZ "Minsk" are used. After the approval of the respective plans and the creation of engineering and transport infrastructure in the region of Minsk sewage treatment plant, "Amkodor Radian" and in Fanipol FEZ "Minsk" the plant will receive an additional opportunity to resolve investment projects on the territory of more than 200 hectares.
